Q28. What is Christ's exaltation?
Christ's exaltation is his rising from the dead on the third day, going up into heaven, sitting at the right hand of God the Father, and coming to judge the world on the last day.
Scripture Proofs — King James Version
1 Corinthians 15:4
“And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
Acts 1:9, 11
“And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. … Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”
Ephesians 1:20
“Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.”
Acts 17:31
“Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”
Matthew 25:31–32
“When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats.”
