Have you ever wished something bad would happen to someone you were angry at?
Illustration
A weed does not start as a weed you can see. It starts as a tiny seed underground. Hatred works the same way. It begins as a small grudge, a bitter thought, a wish that someone would get hurt. If you let that seed stay in the ground, it grows into something ugly. God sees the seed long before anyone else does.
Application
If there is someone at school or in your neighborhood you are angry with, pray for that person by name this week. Ask God to take the anger out of your heart, because you cannot remove it on your own.
