  1. 1

What three things does Luther say we owe God above all things?

  2. 2

What does it look like to "fear" God, and how is that different from being scared of a bully?

  3. 3

Where do you find it hardest to trust God instead of trusting yourself?

Illustration

A child who knows his father is both strong and kind will run to him in a storm. He respects his father's strength. He trusts his father's love. He does not want to disappoint him. That is what it means to fear, love, and trust God. He is not a bully you run from. He is a Father you run to.

Application

Pick one situation this week where you feel worried or unsure. Instead of trying to fix it on your own, pray and ask God to help you trust him with it. Because he is your God, he wants you to bring it to him.
