Lord’s Day 19
Q51. How does Christ's glory as our head help us?
First, through his Holy Spirit he pours out gifts from heaven on us, his people. Second, by his power he protects us and keeps us safe from all enemies.
Scripture Proofs — King James Version
Acts 2:33
Ephesians 4:7–12
Psalm 110:1–2
John 10:27–30
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.”

Application
Ask your parents or a church leader what gift they think God has given them to serve the church. Thank Christ for pouring out gifts on his people and for protecting your family.
