Confession
Q57. Which sins are these?
Think about your life using the Ten Commandments: Are you a son, daughter, student, or friend? Have you disobeyed or been lazy? Have you lost your temper, been rude, or picked fights? Have you hurt someone with your words or actions? Have you taken something that was not yours, been careless, or wasted things?
Scripture Proofs — King James Version

Psalm 139:23–24
2 Corinthians 13:5
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”

Illustration
A doctor cannot help if the patient says "I feel fine" when they are actually hurting. Sin works the same way. If you never look honestly at where you have disobeyed, been lazy, lost your temper, or been unkind, you will never bring those things to God for healing. The Commandments help you see what is really going on.
Application
Pick one of the roles mentioned in this question: student, sibling, friend, son or daughter. Ask yourself how you did in that role today. Where you fell short, confess it to God. Where you did well, thank God for helping you.
