Discussion Questions

  1. 1

What are we asking God for when we pray "Give us today our daily bread"?

  2. 2

Why do you think Jesus teaches us to ask for bread just for today instead of for a whole year?

  3. 3

What is one thing you received today that you did not earn?

Illustration

When you sit down for dinner, the food on your plate came from somewhere. A farmer grew it, a truck brought it, someone cooked it. But behind all of that, God provided the sun, the rain, and the soil. Every meal is a gift that passed through many hands, and God was behind every one of them.

Application

At your next meal, name three things on your plate and thank God for each one. Because God gives daily bread to all people, you can trust him to provide what you need tomorrow too.
