Illustration

A family reunion brings together grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles you may not see very often. But you all share the same family name. The "communion of saints" is like that. Every Christian who has ever lived, in every country and every century, belongs to the same family. The Holy Spirit is the one who brought each of them in.

Application

This Sunday at church, look around and remember that the people sitting near you are your brothers and sisters in Christ. The Holy Spirit gathered you together. Greet someone you do not normally talk to and thank God for your church family.
